About This Quiz

In the world of tractors, John Deere is certainly the name that stands out.

They are used around the world, particularly in the agricultural sector, but have so many other uses as well. John Deere is certainly one of the world's most loved tractor brand and a name that is known to many ... not just farmers!

But where did it all start?

Unsurprisingly, the company was founded by John Deere. A blacksmith by trade, he developed the first-ever self-scouring steel plow in 1837. That was their core business - along with a few other products - until 1918 when the John Deere company purchased the Waterloo Gasoline Engine Company, which incidentally made tractors. By the end of 1918, John Deere had sold over 5,000 of the Waterloo Gasoline Engine Company-designed tractors. And the rest, as they say, is history.

By 1927, the John Deere company was ready to branch out further, introducing combine harvesters.

Incredibly, the company was in such a strong position during the Great Depression, they sold tractors to farmers without expecting payment right away. This helped build up the incredible brand loyalty John Deere still has today.

But let's cut to the chase.

In this quiz, let's see how many John Deere tractor models you can identify.
