About This Quiz

The country of Denmark holds the Guinness World Record for the oldest continuously used national flag. Known as the "Dannebrog" or "Danish Cloth," the flag has been in existence since at least 1307. That's over 700 years! Whoa!

Country flags are an important symbol for nations throughout the world. With stripes, crosses, animals, stars and dozens of other symbols, along with a wide variety of colors and shades, countries put a lot of effort into presenting the history, politics, and beliefs of their nation. Flags are a sense of national pride, but almost more importantly, a nation's flag is its symbolic brand. Think of how you feel when you see the flag of the United States of America? Do you know that the 50 stars stand for the 50 states and the 13 stripes stand for the first 13 colonies? Or, trickier, do you know what each color represents?

Flags throughout the world are filled with symbolism and pride. You'd probably recognize popular flags such as the USA, Japan, and France. But could you figure out Andorra, Albania, or New Zealand?  You think so, huh? Well, we'll make it a little harder for you and give you only a portion of the flag to work with. How well do you feel about taking on this quiz now? It's time to give it a go!
